To become a good man, not a smart man

Last night, when I went to my mum house for dinner. She told me a program that a high monk said, "To raise your children to become a good man, not a smart man." "A good man will only help people and a smart man will harm people."

I do agreed with him. Good man will get builled by others, but he/she will not harm others rather help them whenever there are people need help. As for the other side, a smart man...usually well educated, can think fast and smart enough to cheat others, but mostly they are very self center and selfish people. When they share, they expect something in return. They will not do things for free.

But sad to say that most of the city life in asian, especially Singapore. They prefer raising their children to become a smart individual rather than a good individual, lolz...I can't blame them as own country wanted them to do it their way. If you are good person and not a smart one, then mostly you will get forgotten...

If you own both, then you are someone special, make good use with that.
